Airstream E-commerce Experience

 

The Brief

Airstream is an American brand, recognised by the distinctive shape of their rounded and polished aluminum travel trailers. The Airstream team wanted to create an editorial focused E-commerce website that will encourage their users to purchase items or share content.

From a tech point of view the website was to be fully scalable and adjustable CMS with a use of pre-defined components and layouts, allowing for new articles and products introduced weekly.

Project Challenges

The main challenge was to create engaging layout that will encourage users to read and explore content further while subtly suggesting relevant products. Diverting from the “traditional” E-commerce web layout, this website was going to feel more like a glossy lifestyle magazine. Imagine articles of great adventures and expeditions, showcasing Airstream range of products that are available for purchase.

What we did

Article page wireframes and designs

Our team provided detailed market research, focusing on high end travel, lifestyle and outdoors fashion brands.

Based on the research we produced the initial site map and pages layouts (wireframes), including basic interaction elements such as hover or clicking (for mobile) for further product information.

Upon finalisation of the project requirements we created a fully clickable prototype, used to illustrate the user flows, interactions and site structure.
